Hey everyone, hope everything’s fine for everyone, I’ll have few reviews for you, and certainly case study to reveal. Well, the first one will be about OnlineJobs.ph. This is the outsourcing site, like oDesk, for hiring workers from the Philippines by John Jonas, creator of ReplaceMyself.com.

For those who don’t know Replace Myself is a program that teaches you how to outsource your business so you can live the 4 Hour Work Week (or a bit more hours), it includes training modules for your workers, and is a monthly subscription service. If you’re a member, you get free access to to OnlineJobs.ph which is $49 per month, $105 quarterly, or $299 yearly.

Now that’s it for the introduction. I chose the monthly subscription, as I just needed writers, once you are a member, you can post job offers or contact workers directly. So this post is kind of a review.

OnlineJobs.ph Review and Story

I’m disappointed. Really. It’s not just the fact you have to pay, but their system needs serious improvement. I got a refund. You need to look at their terms and conditions, and a good reason to get a refund. I had one. And here’s the story.

I needed writers for Build My Rank (BMR), so I thought I could contact few workers firectly who were experienced with BMR. I did, and got no answer.

So I posted a job offer for it, and it seemed to work really well. I think I had 9 applicants. They contact you directly through email, so it seems there is no way to send a message through the site interface. That doesn’t make a big difference, but if you like the message system to manage all your workers communications then you can’t.

All applicants seem motivated. I asked for perfect English, as BMR will reject any pporly written content. Now let’s be honest, Filipino workers are affordable contrary to other countries, I offered a salary based on what other writers and BMR experts were desiring as a salary. In their profile there is a “desired salary”. At the time, most writers wanted 12,000 PHP, which is about $275-$280, for a full-time job of 40 hours per week. And some are even desiring less.

So of course this site has been marketed and recommended to find great workers for cheap, because the life is much cheaper there. We all understand that. And so paying for a subscription would still be okay.

So in my job offer, the salary was stated, with all the terms and conditions and everything. Well all applicants really had great English, I’d say even better than mine and they really looked professional at the time of contacting me. I hired two writers for BMR, and offered another writing job to a third person.

All persons have understand the job. All were hired for a full time job of 40 hours per week. EACH TIME I contacted them asking if they really understand the job and everything. Yes, yes, yes. Very enthusiastic persons, one BMR writer was already experienced so no need to train, he knew about approval rate and all.

The second writer didn’t know how to submit posts to BMR. I sent a video, and still it seems she had issues. I contacted the BMR support, that replied in 1h30 to me and to her. Still had issues, I resolved those. Then trained her and showed her the basics. That was Sunday, she got trained and now has a new skill.

The other worker would have product reviews, but unfortunately the family’s house was destroyed by fire and she would have to pay for interner shop costs. So that would be great if I paid upfront… Well, NO. I explained I already paid upfront in the past and got burnt by crappy workers who just disappear.

Monday, first day of work. Philippines is 7 hours ahead of France, so when I woke up, their work day should alreay well started. I log into BMR to see how many posts have been posted… NONE.

That’s right, nothing, no work provided. No email to communicate about a potential issue, nothing. So, I emailed the 2 BMR writer. One answered me the same day, saying that she got offered another BMR writer job, with a lesser work load and a heavier salary… Hmm why the hell apply to that job? Oh and now she’s trained for BMR which she didn’t know previously… Kinda dishonnest, I’ve been really friendly with her, spending time with her and telling her there would be no pressure, that was a trial work week and she didn’t like it there was another writing job available anyway.

The other guy, the experienced one, answered the next day. Excuses… Even in the job offer I said I needed reliable and dedicated workers who will not make excuses for not providing the work. Well from his reply, let’s quote “several issues related to my family which I will not disclose further but will if you ask me to” and “my laptop got severely damaged and would require me a substantial amount of time for me to get a new one.”

You would not imagine how many people can’t provide work because their computer just broke. Even one of the last applicant for the job told me that he just got it back from repair and hoped he wasn’t too late.

And finally, the third person, which I gave product reviews to write, simply didn’t do anything.

So, that was a really bad experience. I was using oDesk at the same time and it provides you much more control and visibility. OnlineJobs.ph should invest in a system that offers more transparency.

Quite frankly, at $49 a month, you would expect that there is more for you, the one who pays for a service. Actually, you just pay for getting contact information, and get contacted from your job offer.

Their system is not the nicest, but this would be fine if the workers still passed some test, could get rated by employers. On their profile, they rate their skills themselves.

So I quit OnlineJobs.ph just after 1 job offer. I could have dedicated it more time, but time is important, that’s why I outsource. I don’t get more visibility or a way to know if a worker is great for a job. I could have contacted other applicants and offer the vacant poistions, but no.

I’m not saying all the workers there are bad, I’m absolutely sure there are some awesome workers who will communicate with you and not wait that YOU contact them to know what happens. People who provide great work that you can rely on.

But I was terribly disappointed, and I really don’t see the point of paying $49 if there is no better service. Oh yeah, you can get a worker recruited for you… for $800! That would be 2 workers full time for a month… so no thank you. Way overpriced.

Do I recommend OnlineJobs.ph?

If you don’t mind going through interviews, maybe training without any guarantee of work, then why not. But that means you ned TIME! We outsource so we can get back free time, and the fact is I’m really happy to talk with my workers and teach them stuff if it benefits my business and them too. If they get more skilled, they will work better, smarter, faster.

But I wasted time with 3 persons. I may be super unlucky to have hired 3 out of 3 persons who didn’t provide any work. Still, if there was some kind of skill control or past work feedback (you can add a review but you don’t have the visibility oDesk offers), then it could be worth it. Actually it would be worth it if you got job done, that what’s count in the end.

For now, you can just go to oDesk and pay their 10% fee for each project, decide your own rate, see the work done with screenshots with their tracking system (if you pay hourly), offer different price (and workers can propose different rates when they apply too). With hourly work, the time gets logged in and workers have a payment guarantee. It’s much more transparent.

So that’s it. If you have time to dedicate to finding workers, then you may try them. It’s still a great database of workers with affordable rates. But it’s not for me. The support was great, and understood well the issue and accepted the refund.

What’s next?

Well if you read this, you saw I also subscribed to BuildMyRank, so I will also have a review. All I can say for now is that I love it, it’s been about 2 weeks only and it DOES provide results. I will have to see if those stick but from what I see this is worth it, I canceled my TheLinkJuicer subscription and I’m happy to pay for something that works now. I have the basic 5 domains plan, and I think in about a month I will upgrade to 10 domains.

Okay, so yesterday I posted about an internet marketing plan, which is more about link building in a natural way. What I wanted to show was that there are some links that most people would never make to another site. For example, you will not create a press release for social bookmark. Today I want to talk about link building again, but the automated way.

So what are the automated backlink creation solutions out there. Well there are just so many to choose from. This may be a problem though since a lot may only give you one source, I mean one link type. For example, and article distribution software will only get you links from article directories. Your goal is to get a wide variety of source, and also to get those links indexed so you also need to create backlinks to these backlinks.

You then have the choice in choosing multiple softwares or services, or outsource different tasks to SEO experts. Even if you get a software that gets you a variety of links, it may not cover everything you would like. But still, owning such tools or subscribing to various services can really save you time and make you more money. You can’t physically maintain multiple URLs and keywords rankings, and at the same time write content, or create videos and so on.

You can do it on your own, but you will have to invest more time. It may be frustrating and during that time, you’re not getting cash into the bank. OF course if you only have one site to focus on, this is another stor, however building authority sites also requires effort. Sidenote: Viral marketing, social networks may be your friends. Indeed, without link building, you can build a fan community and still receive traffic, sales and commissions. So explore that route too.

Automated Link Building Solutions

Okay, that was kind of a long introduction for that post. Now let’s get to the meat, what Automated link building solutions you may want to have a look to. I principally want to discuss tools that can bring you link diversity from one place.

Blog Networks

Well, I’ve already mentioned some here. And I really think these provide powerful link juice. Of course I haven’t tried them all, and I’m currently runing a test with the Link Juicer before I certainly switch to Build My Rank. Build My Rank would be the one I recommend the most from my observations. There are many more out there (Unique Article Wizard, My Article Network, Seo Link Vine, Article Ranks, SEO Blueprint).

SEO Softwares

Again here, there are so many to list that it is quite impossible to give them one and only definitive software name. However, I’m quite sure, many of you have heard about SENuke X. This is a software that can build backlinks from diverse type of sites, and interlink those. So you can get links from social bookmars, article directories, social networks, web 2.0 profiles and more.

It is not the only one to do so. SE Nuke X may have the advantage of an easier interface and a wizard that takes care of most of the technical stuff. I don’t use it though, at $127 per month it wasn’t for me. I think there’s even a one time fee, for something over $2000.

I chose aother solution. I have SEO Link Robot, which does the same thing, without the wizard and I got it at the time it was a one time fee. $157 I think, don’t remember exactly. It’s now $47 per month, or $227 per year, or or a one time fee of $347. There’s also a Lite version of SEOLR for those who don’t need all functions.

SEO Link Robot submits to web 2.0 sites, article directories, social bookmarking, rss feeds, ping sites, press releases sites.

Now softwares like this need to be constantly updated because they post to other sites that they don’t control. So when an article directory or a social bookmarking site changes its scripts or interface, it fails to post. I have to say it’s not necessearily a deal breaker. I still get updates often and if a post doesn’t get through I can live with it.

Just like every tool out there. You need to use it to make it work for you. Using it for a few days to see if it works and then stop will not bring a lot of results. So really, once you invest in such tools, you must use those regularly so they pay for your investment, especially if they have reccuring fees! Another solution is to purchase a license and outsource the use to a virtual assistant.

There is another tool that is more recent and that I saw popping few months ago, it’s IMSlave, it really looks exactly the same as SEO Link Robot. They say it is more white hat. Well I don’t know if it’s true, I guess it’s how you use your tools that make it white hat or not. It may have different sites it posts to. Can’t talk much about it since I don’t use it but it’s a one time fee of $127. Maybe worth a try.

SEO Services

These services include several things done for you. You just give them what they require and they will post content and links a bit everywhere. They have all their own strategy, link pyramids mixing and interlinking web 2.0, bookmarks, articles, and other types of links.

These can be very useful, and you can get a time shot or a monthly service. It really depends on how you see your SEO strategy and how you have set a budget.

I already mentioned in an earlier post LinkBytes.net. They have a package I foud on WickedFire forums, the SERP Power Booster. For under $40 bucks it is a great deal. They have more, including a monthly service.

LinkingMadeEasy.com – I don’t remember who recommended this to me, but it seems to get good results, they indeed have some nice plans.

Browse forums for such packages and you will find great deals.

The Beasts

These are services that I would really want to get subscribed to. They make all the work for you, you just need to provide them the enssential: keywords and URLs.

LinxBoss

This is really hands off. It’s a $147 per month service. One account gets you 1000 backlinks per month. You can have upto 5 domains. For each domain you can have as many URLs as you want. But keep in mind that you still have amaximum of 1000 links per month. So if you use only one site, you will receive all 1000 links to that one site, if you add 5 sites, you will receive 200 links per month to each.

How it works? Well there are two videos you can watch on their site: check out LinxBoss (the system demo link shows you the user interface and exactly what you’re getting). If you don’t want to read here is a quick version:

You add a site (domain)

You then add pages you want links to (the domain itself if you want, an internal page, whatever…)

For each page you add anchor text: one primary keyword and then secondary keywords. The primary keyword will be used about 50% of the time, the secondary keywords will share the remaining 50%.

That’s it. Really, nothing more. They will create a variety of links for you, they will create content for you that they will distribute with your links. You just see your backlinks grow and your rankings go higher. They have a rank tracking tab that will let you see the movements of your pages for each keyword.

LinxBoss have been online for over 4 years so they are serious, and deliver on what they claim. I forgot to ad, you can pause a linking campaign for any page anytime, change keywords anytime, delete a site and replace it with another one anytime. All the links create are permanent. So if you reach rankings for the keywords you want, you can remove those keywords or sites and replace with others.

If you want to build links to more than 5 sites at once, this is possible too, just get an additional account.

Link Emperor

When I saw the capabilities of this service I was really amazed. Basically, the Link Emperor subscription you pay for it includes subscription to other services. So you only need an account with them to centralize our link building efforts.

They have several plans, $149, $349, $749 and… $2999 per month. YEAH! So I guess if you want to start with them you wil wnat to go with the cheaper plans, but also note that they have a 3 day free trial.

You really MUST see what it does, they also have a video demo at their site here: Link Emperor. It works with credits, each plan gives you a certain amount of link credits that you can then spend in the system. You have the ability to purchase additional credits if you like. The cheapest plan gives you 1,000 links to spend per day.

As I said, the system uses other services from one place, these include: high PR blog comments, forum profiles, linkwheels, social bookmarks, article links, link pyramids, web 2.0 properties, .edu and .gov profiles, link indexing, web directories submission, SE Nuke blasts, Google +1, private blog networks, videos, links from DripFeedBlasts and Dripable (which create comments and forum profiles on a drip fed manner).

And that’s just the beginning since their goal is to integrate any kind of worthwile links creation service in their system. Of course not all links cost the same amount of credits, a social bookmark is less expensive than a full SENuke blast for example.

But they are not just about link building. In fact they are really into ranking, and will help you with other features such as keyword research, tracking, keyword management. This last one is cool, it tells you what keywords you should put more efforts into. Indeed, it not just suggests keywords to use, but also what are the ones that need more boost, so you can create campaigns for it.

This service is really a beast and I just recommend you check it out because it could really be the one you need. For $149 as a starter price, a tons of things can be done. I am not using it, not yet, because I’m currently testing other services but this is surely on my list. Even for small niche websites this will be powerful.

Check out Link Emperor.

That’s the end for now.

I will not talk about XRumer or ScarpeBox as automated backlinks solution as if you use those to automate your links, it’s mostly spam. I use ScrapeBox to find awesome links sources such as high PR blog posts, yeah, even dofollow ones. Got several hundreds of PR4+ and PR5 with low outbound links just yesterday.

Other softwares that may give you principally one link source, as mentioned earlier, are article marketing, social bookmarking, RSS submission softwares, video submission software.

Basically for onle type of link source there is a software that can handle those. I have few ools from IncanSoft, I haven’t checked if they have updated their stuff but most of the ones I own have stopped working properly (ArticleBot never worked for me, SocialBOT, RSSBot, PressBot always had difficulties to go through posting process).

The best article submission software out there is Article Marketing Robot. Over 1200 article directories and you can add as many as you want, the ability to spin content of course and much more. This one piece of software can get you tons of backlinks, you can then simply pick the report and submit your links to get indexed to a service such as LinkClaw, Linklicious or Lindexed.

Hey folks, it’s been a while since I’ve not updated this place but I’m here to day to talk about outsourcing. That actually whay I wasn’t here, I tried to look for some cool places, and if you remember I shared with you some micro jobs sites few weeks ago.

So as you may know, crowdsourcing is a type of outsourcing that get you taks done by many persons instead of just one. For example, if you want an article to be rewritten, instead of having one person to rewrite te whole article, you can have one person for each sentence.

The article can thus be rewritten very fast, the rewriter doesn’t really have to think about a complete angle for the article, he/she just focus on one sentence and that’s it.

Now this would be beautiful if some people can just understand instructions, which are very basic. I’m not unhappy for poor english, I have nothing against non english native persons, I’m not myself. But when you give clear instructions, you expect tese are respected.

Now of course with those sites, when you’re not satisfied, you’re can reject the work and you get your money back. Yes, but it wastes time. And outsourcing is supposed to save you time. Here’s an experiment I just had, I mean ended in the last 5 minutes.

MicroWorkers

It was with MicroWorkers.com

There is something with them I don’t like and that’s you have to assign the task to 30 persons minimum. For some tasks like digging a website, increasing views, that’s okay.It can be a total waste for other tasks I’m going to tell you about later.

Yesterday I asked for an article to be rewritten. So of course I must pay for 30 rewrites, even though I would just need 10. In my instructions I clearly say I want the content to be totally unique, to not just change a word here and there or turn sentences from active to passive mode. I wanted new wordings, same meanings. I required fluent english, correct grammar and syntax.

I choose Philipines workers as I know they can do a good job, at least I already worked with some in the paste and was extremely satisfied.

Well today 3 rewrites were already done… One was acceptable, with 80% uniqueness. That’s good, though I still had to fix few things, it was expected.

The 2 others were really useless. One provided me 15% uniqueness, and the other… less than 4%! That’s right over 96% duplicate content. He or she clearly just changed a few words here and there and that’s it.

At the time I wrote my instructions I remember I said that the worker must know what article rewriting is. This part has been removed during the review process but still the part for “totally unique and original” was kept. So yeah, I’m disappointed with this. I guess I should give a link for an example of total rewrite but I’m not even sure some people will make the effort of checking what I really want.

Anyway I stopped this campaign to not waste more time.

There are some jobs that you should use them for, but as I said for some other tasks it’s really not worth it. For Yahoo! Answers that’s useless. I mean the task you can assign for Yahoo! Answers in the employer interface is “Answer + Link in resource box”.

So basically, you will have 30 people answering the same thing or almost close to it and give the same link to your website. That looks totally unnatural to me. When you vote for a best answer, it’s to get the answer and your link considered as better than others, and of course get good traffic.

For that sole purpose you don’t need 30 answers, one is sufficient. There are other places you can get your job done by just one person if that’s just what you need.

So what I think is of course you can ask for te answer and maybe stop the campaign as soon as you got what you wanted. If you got 3 persons do the tasks it will not be really fair to reject all 29 that you didn’t want.

ShortTask

I don’t know about mTurk by Amazon since it’s open to US residents only.

But ShortTask is one I use. Now one advice you MUST be very clear in your instructions as some really don’t do a good job. You can reject the work too. But to not waste your time be specific.

With ShortTask.com there is something you must do too if you don’t want some “smart” people to abuse your money. And that’s to tick the box that says you want the job done only ONCE per worker.

It depends of the job of course. But last month, I forgot to tick that box for a URL to submit to digg. I just wanted 10 diggs for a test. The same guy filled the 10 positions, of course since he got just one digg account I just had one digg. You have to keep in mind some workers don’t know how internet marketing works.

Also, for tracking purpose I shortened a URL that I wanted to bookmark on reddit. So I used bit.ly. I asked the workers to open the url in their browser, and the new and now expanded url should be copied and pasted to reddit. Well, gues which URL I got bookmarked on reddit? The bit.ly one.

Again be specific, though I think on this one I was, it may show that you got what you pay for. So now I don’t hide my URL and just provide it as is to prevent that mistake to happen again.

My conclusion

You must be careful in the instructions you give, you must choose the right tasks to outsource there. The simplest will be the best to send there. You will have to test and tweak yourself to learn how things work and get the best results. It can be a really good help for your business.

I’m still going to use these sites, but I will also create more systems to help me. I’ll tell you about these later.

Now another place I’ve just started to use yesterday is Fiverr. I know it’s been around for a while but never gave it a shot. So now it’s time and you can find awesome deals that are just awesome. I’ve seen the same jobs done offered on various forums for upto 6 times more. (This should give you an idea of middleman business )

Okay have a great week end and see you next time.

Hi all. In my last post I talked about your marketing plan and I briefly mentioned the importance of outsourcing and automation to scale your business. Reinvesting in these resources can help you build your business and grow your income higher and faster.

You simply only have 24 hours in a day and you can’t just do every little task on every aspect of internet marketing. Actually, you can. But not in one day, especially when you have more than just one website. Micro Jobs Sites may be a smart solution, that’s the power of crowdsourcing: assigning a job to many people instead of one.

So I used the most powerful search tool on the planet… Google. Yeah I know, that’s a search engine, but actually when you plug something in it spits quite relevant results.

And I searched for micro jobs sites, where you can pay pennies for very short tasks. Of course you can pay more for longer tasks (like writing articles) but on these type of sites I don’t do it.

Here here the list of micro jobs sites I’ve compiled:

MicroWorkers.com

ShortTask.com

MTurk.com (amazon)

www.MicroJob.co

simpleworkers.com

myeasytask.com

desklancer.com

minute-jobs.com

jobboy.com

minijobz.com

RapidWorkers

MinuteWorkers.com

tasksworkers.biz

I’ve only tried the first 2, I don’t know about the others! Of course Amazon MTurk is legit too.

You could also add Fiverr to that list though it’s more for a one time job, and it must be $5.

Basically these sites are almost all the same, and work all the same. They have various fees and some even tell you the minimum you should pay for a certain task. Some just let you choose the amount you want to pay. You can also choose the number of times your task should be done.

Here’s an example, I did this yesterday. You need to fund your account via PayPal or others if available.

I went to shorttask.com, and I asked one of my link (a squidoo lens) to be submitted to reddit. I wanted this task to be performed 12 times, so I should have about 12 votes on my link.

I did the same thing on microworkers.com, but this time for a hub at hubpages, I wanted this to be done 30 times.

I first shorten my URLs with bit.ly. then in my instructions told people to open the link in their browser, then submit the new URL to reddit, or Digg.

Results:

On ShortTask, I don’t know what happened but almost everyone submitted the bit.ly link, while I clearly stated the NEW link in the instructions. Now I could have simply posted my squidoo URL but I wanted to track the number of visits (you can do this if you create a bit.ly account) and also for not leaving footprints anywhere. Plus it gets you traffic on your site, or web 2.0 properties. For hubpages, traffic is a factor that increase your HubScore (important for dofollow backlinks).

On Microworkers, everything went fine, only 2 people didn’t digg my link.

On each of these websites you can ask for proof, you actually want to track the job, see that it’s really done. So you can ask them their profile URL as a proof, or the URL of the bookmark. Always ask for a proof of some sort. For a simple task like increasing views, you want to shorten the link so then you can ask what was the URL of the video as a proof, or the name of the channel.

Now on ShortTask, I know that I’d need to rephrase and be even more clear in my instructions. On microworkers I think they changed my instructions before these were live. So these were well laid out, they mentioned that bit.ly link was a shortened URL.

When you’re not satisfied, you can reject the job, and you’re not charged. Of course if you rate someone unfairly, your account could be banned too. I had to reject almost everything on ShortTask, but I will use them again with better instructions.

How much did I pay?

On shorttask, I paid $0.03 for each submission. With their fees, a total of $0.48.
On microworkers I paid $0.10 (it was the minimum required, or recommended, don’t remember). With their fees I paid $3.97.

On microworkers you must assign a task to a minimum of 30 people. I haven’t checked other websites.

Really you can get nice ranking jumps with stronger social bookmarking backlinks. I have seen my squidoo page getting better though most didn’t do the right thing. Same for my hub with microworkers.

What’s better, it’s fast, few hours later and you get things done. You can geo target the workers. For submissions like this you don’t care where the diggs are from. So International is okay, this is the number of votes that will make your link appear higher, not the country of the diggers, or redditers.

What could you ask?

Well for just 1 cent, that’s $0.01, you can have someone open a youtube video. Ask them to watch it, or actually “just let it play from the begining to the end”. If I’m correct a video needs to be played for 30 seconds on youtube for a view to be counted.

You want views to your videos because the more views, the higher it appears on YouTube search, and on Google too. You still have to optimize the description and tags for better results.

You can also increase the number of articles views at EzineArticles so your article jumps in the “most viewed” of its own category, and more internal backlinks point to it. It will get more traffic from Search Engines too.

You can ask for acount creations too on many services, social bookmarking, web 2.0 sites, email accounts, video sites…

You can ask for blog comments, social bookmarking from $0.03

I saw someone paying $0.06 for twitter account creation, so it’s $6 for 100 accounts, without the fees.

Don’t ask for illegal or unethical stuff. I’ve seen people asking for clicks on their ads. I’m not sure f it was for AdSense or not but it is strictly prohibited by AdSense TOS and can get you banned. Some others ask for signups to CPA offers. If your CPA networks find out that all your signups are crap, they can kick you out too and may not pay your money, even the legit signups you got.

Increasing views on an article or a video may be grey hat or black hat for some but you’re not doing harm. But if you do things that can get you into troubles, don’t cry.

I talked about article writing, well the ones I use are:

thecontentauthority.com

articlez.com

textbroker.com

Now you can of course try to use the micro job sites, maybe for rewriting. Just assign a rewriting task for each sentence of the article. You may pay just 0.05 for that kind of task, maybe more, I’ll try that. Of course ask for perfect english. By having all your sentences rewritten several times you can create more versions of your article, then spin everything.

What I see is something like this (just an example):

Go to ShortTask, or MTurk

Create one task for each of your sentence, asking it to be reviewed.

If you pay $0.05 per sentence, that’s $1.5 for a 30 sentences article. Not bad at all!

You may adjust the amount you want to pay according to the number of words of each sentence. It may be time consuming but actually, you can generally save a template of your task to use later, so you can just change the sentence on each new task.

Plus each task can be renewed too. So if you go there to ask for backlinks, you can renew your task every month and get new backlinks to your site. Just an idea.

Okay I hope this article was helpful to you. All I want is that you actually DO something with this information. Try this and maybe you’ll find you get greater results.

Hey, 100 diggs at $0.03 on ShortTask would cost you just $4, fees included. If you have some valuable content this could be a great boost. Now imagine you invest $10 to get 100 diggs, 100 reddit votes, 100 delicious, 100 propeller and so on, 100 votes on your video, 100 blog comments… You can have a cheap SEO plan and these backlinks will be really powerful.

That’s it for micro jobs sites, have a great week.

In extense, I could have just said: just do it, and repeat. Doing things that you know work over and over again can only give you better results. Of course whatever you do, you don’t want to become spammy or anything that could get you into trouble.

But if you apply the simplest stuff consistently, you will make money. So let’s talk about one aspect of internet marketing that most marketers struggle for, getting traffic.

If you don’t pay for it, you wil have to go the SEO route. Without talking of on-page SEO, you’re left with almost one thing, and that’s building backlinks to your money site so it ranks better and better.

The long introduction:

Nothing new under the sun, and thats the purpose of this post. I think I have not seen anything new in terms of techniques to get ranked. Everyone seems to have a new “groundbreaking discovery and technique that let you dominate Google in 24 hours flat for all your keywords at the push of a button“.

Well, there’s none. Of course the process can be automated with the right softwares or services or anything, but what is done is not new.

What I know works: getting quality backlinks, which means relevant sources, relevant content from authority websites help you get ranked.

That’s why linkwheels got so much success. Now I don’t remember if I posted already about it but here’s the thing: the whole internet is a giant linkwheel. Some people are saying that linkwheels don’t work so well now compared to few months ago.

Well of course, the first linkwheel models suggested the same content, posted on several web 2.0 properties. You can spin the content, the meanings was still the same. I’ve never thought it was really providing value to the visitors to link to another piece of content that was saying the same thing, just rephased.

So then new linkwheel models said you should have related content, each web 2.0 property should target another keyword or the a variation. These web 2.0 sites are still interlinked between each other and also to your site.

Then I’ve seen that you should make a linkwheel, interlinked, but instead of linking to your site, each web 2.0 site links to a central web 2.0 site. This one at the top then links to your site. I think it’s what’s been called a link pyramid, and the most recommended way of creating a linkwheel. You should of course create several link pyramids like this one to have more backlinks to your own site.

Now tell me, if you think about it, what is new? Mmmm… right , nothing. Some guys have sold us eBooks and video training or any kind of course, just to tell us that:

If you build web 2.0 properties to link to another web 2.0 property, this last one will become stronger.

Because this web 2.0 property is stronger, the link you place there to your own website is also stronger. Great for SEO and rankings.

Huh… aren’t these just the basics of SEO?

Similar methods involved submitting your article to eZineArticles. Since EZA is an authority site, you should backlink your article so it stays and ranks higher in search engines. And again you get a solid backlink from a strong article page.

This shouldn’t be something to be amazed about. Any page you send backlinks to should rank higher. The better the quality of your backlinks, the better the rankings. It’s been like that since I started internet marketing over 3 years ago, and it was before (how could I learn it if it weren’t).

Now okay, I have to admit, I wasted my time, and money too on such super powerful techniques. The thing is you don’t really look for something new when you’ve been in this business for a little while, but more for a resource you didn’t know.

One of the example is the way to acquire links, like the ones sold in backlink packets. There are thousands of high PR sites that you can leave a profile link on to your money site. I’ve not done that sort of things that much. It does work, still it’s basic, getting backlinks to your page from strong sites.

With time, you find all these processes long and boring, so the money you make has to be reinvested, either in software for automation or/and outsourcing. My real work is finding profitable niches ane keywords, offers that convert well. Then the process is almost always the same.

Here’s what I do: I go to web 2.0 sites to add content and a backlink to my site. Then I drive backlinks to these web 2.0 sites. Impressive right!

No interlinking between each web 2.0 sites, though you could backlink them randomly, by creating another piece of content elsewhere.

Here’s a graphic for better understanding on the right (Click to enlarge). This is a little backlink plan. You can save it to your computer too.

I haven’t added the article directories, but I would write articles to link to my money site as well as web 2.0 sites. I also didn’t included that I would submit the rss feed of the money site, social bookmark it too. You can also ping every new piece of content.

The But for clarity I stopped here, in terms of “linkwheel”, which for me is clearly not one.

That’s the big part of the “work”. You should also vary your backlinks sources and anchor text. So you can for example throw some profile backlinks and info sites links (like whois sites) to have different sources. You can submit a press release about your new site too.

That’s all basic backlink stuff and well enough to get traffic to a niche website. Once you have a clear system in mind you can easily replicate it quickly for many more websites.

I also try to make a website that converts. As an affiliate that means I want most of my visitor to reach the offer page. So my best offer, most recommended product, is at a prominent place, above the fold, on every page.

That’s the conduit method, that I’ve been using from… a very long time. Sure I have my own twist… I change the WordPress theme I use once in a while

But really there’s nothing hard to understand. What is stopping me is procrastination, getting distracted. But once I have the right mindset I can have a full site done in a day or two, this include the promotion too (though I will spread the social bookmarking phase during the week). And once I outsource the content it gets really easy.

You should create systems, instructions and plans of actions for the people you want to ousource the work to. Then just focus on what you like.

That’s about it. Creating a nice website that promote others products. Backlinking with web 2.0 sites, backlinking those web 2.0 sites nd articles too. Submitting the RSS feeds. Blog comments. Ping.

If you target buying keywords, it’s even better.

Say your money site is around a product name, or niche name and internal pages are about products.

Then your web 2.0 properties will each target a buying keyword around a product name, and links to the product page on your site.

I think this post is already long and should come to an end. Basically, don’t go out after something new, except if it’s on something you really are interested in AND that you plan to REALLY implement in your marketing (video marketing for example).

Do the basics, repeat the basics. In terms of SEO, that’s building a well optimized site with proper tags, keywords and relevant terms, content, theme. That’s on-page SEO. As for the off-page SEO, that’s basically building backlinks from a variety of sources, quality backlinks on relevant content ages from authority sites.

Have a great week end.

Hey everyone, my internet connexion is down since yesterday, it is supposed to be back up before December 1st. I have to call the customer support from my cell phone of course, hotline is not free, waiting time is. That sucks, I’m currently writing from my girlfriend’s mother’s house.

Since this is a Triple play offer (internet, TV, phone), all the services are down. Yeah that sucks. so what can you do when it occurs?

I could not, submit articles to directories, and make research on topics so I can write more articles.

So I wrote articles on topics I knew about. I also planned a lot of stuff to run when my connexion is up again. For example I have written instructions for outsourcing stuff. Hopefully, since I had outsourced few articles before this happened, writers have been able to do the job.

I remembered an article I saw on WorkAwesome, I already mentioned this website. Some nice content there. Anyway the article to read in this case is… How To Stay Productive When The Internet Is Down.

Now of course this has affected my 30 day challenge. I talked about it 3 days ago. I want to update 3 blogs a day. Two are very easy to do, already indexed, and one is started from scratch. I’ve not been able to publish yesterday. Not really a big deal but still something I would have prefered to avoid.

Okay so one of m best tip, also on the blog post I mentioned is : PLANNING.Preparing stuff that you can do immediately after your connexion is back up.

Okay have fun and stay FOCUS!

Hey everyone, so after I complete my 30 day blogging challenge, I decided to set a new one which was about the same, adding one blog post per day, but this time to a monetized niche website, unlike this one which is just more information oriented I spent the last two days, planning, researching and compiling some datas to work from, and here’s my plan…

I’m not going to update 1 blog per day, but 3. And I think it’s going to be easy. Again that’s a SMART goal in 30 days I will have 3 blogs with each 30 more posts published on them.

2 blogs are already indexed, 1 will be started from scratch. Here’s the plan for each.

One of the blog already indexed is in the top 3 results in Google for its 3 main keywords. It’s been there for months and maybe 2 years, competition is still low. I’m going to add related offers, in the same niche. Since it’s Christmas there are tons of great deals, free gifts and promos coming, that’s true for so many physical products sites. I’m just going to add one deal a day, very fast, and many buyer keywords!

The other indexed blog is in the fitness niche. I have already reviews written for both physical products and info products. I’m going to add posts with videos from YouTube. Simply adding workout videos and commenting/trascripting them so I don’t just copy and paste the code, I also want to add text so my keywords are also in the post. I’ll link the posts to the reviews or equipment needed for example with my affiliate links.

The third blog has no content, and never been developped. I registered the domain loooong ago but never did anything with it. It’s also in the fitness niche, fat loss more precisely. I have compiled keywords I want to write about, or actually… what I and a writer will write too. I’m going to outsource about 15 articles first, and maybe more for article marketing since I’ll have some backlinking job to do.

So really, the content creation is just going to be for that third blog and just one per day. If you think about it, when you’re focused on 3 blog/articles per day, especially when you planned ahead, this can be really easy and fast.

What’s your challenge?

What’s your plan?

Christmas is in 30 days, so even with one blog properly monetized you can make some nice bucks.

Have you chosen a physical product? Go on Amazon, select a toy for kids, a bestselling electronics, kitchen appliances, most wished for, most gifted… Write around buyer keywords and backlink there.

Okay I’m ready to work now,

Stay FOCUS!

Tom

My last posts have all been focused around outsourcing and automation. And that one is just a kind of recap of what it can do for you. We have seen that automating your business either with softwares, outsourcing, or outsourcing the use of automation softwares is really:

how you can work smarter, not harder

how you accelerate your success

how you can profit faster

how to reinvest in your business for even faster progress

how to ACT like a BOSS, managing people instead of being the employee

enjoying free time

… and certainly few other things I don’t remember right now but outsourcing and automating your business is the smart way to reach your goals faster.

You made your first $100?

Invest these in article writing and submission (can be a software).

So now you have more backlinks, better SERPs, thus more traffic, and more money.

Rinse and repeat

Outsource more tasks more

Remember that “investing” in your business suppose there is a “return on investment”, or ROI. So you need to figure what should be the ROI for the products your promote or sell if you have your own products. Yes, you can outsource product creation for niche markets, have an expert write a little report for you that you will sell for $7, or a bigger product for much more money.

I don’t like to brag about what I do, but my previous post is really full of great free resources to automate your internet marketing and for videos, photos, audios, blogging, micro blogging… you don’t need much more apart from creating the accounts, I mean outsource the accounts creations.

But as for article marketing, if you have some money, this can be a good thing to have some weapons in your arsenal. At least one good submitter.

Article Marketing Robot

This tool is great, everyone who is using it talks about the best article submitter out there. We’re talking pure submission, not spinning or other features, though it includes it. One of the most interesting one is the automated registration and confirmation. You know how it sucks to have to manually sign up to each site and then click on each confirmation link.

Another thing you will like is scheduling article submission. So backlinks are spread over time and it appears more natural.

It also submits to over 1000 directories, kewl! Now I know you think this sounds great but you may want to try before you buy, and that’s exactly what you can do! You can try it for 5 days, now a little downside is that it leaves a link “Submission with Article Marketing Robot” but it’s not a big deal. If you like it, you should buy it, it’s $77, ONE TIME.

It’s been recommended to me by a top article marketer, I may give you my review soon though I know there are already many you can find out there. But if you want me to make a commission for the superb posts I’m publishing these days…

Download free trial version or buy Article Marketing Robot.

Okay, outsource and automate your business and grow bigger!

This is a follow up of my last post, I’ve been talking of automation and outsourcing recently for a few reasons and because your success may really depend on it. Actually, faster success because you can get more things done in a shorter time frame, or even in the same time frame.

In the last post I told you I’ll provide you with some great resources to automate internet marketing tasks for FREE. That’s right. Let’s start right away.

Sharing online medias, text, links at multiple social networking, web 2.0 sites can bring you some great exposure, so you may want to centralize everything from one place, with the following sites. Of course you need to have an account to the sites they publish to, I’ll give you some resources for that too, but check that out:

Social Marketing

PixelPipe – Just amazing, you could pay like $97 or more every month for this kind of service. It publishes your content to video sites, photo sites, blogs, doc sharing sites, audios, file upload sites, and social networks. Just create your account there and you’ll understand how powerful your social marketing campaign can be, and how fast you can do it! There’s about 90 sites supported I think. They have some great tools too to integrate with some of your softwares, like a firefox plugin to upload your medias automatically, or applications for your mobile phone. You must check that site out!

Ping.fm – This one is know by many marketers, it will allow you to ping, notify, update status on multiple sites at the same time.

HelloTXT – a bit like Ping.fm, HelloTXT defines themselves as a social life organizer and you can get access from web, Iphone, Ipad, Android. From this place you can manage multiple social networks, blogging and microblogging platforms, and even some more.

SocialADR – Automating social bookmarking to 19 sites at the moment. But what’s really cool is that you can get your sites bookmarked too by other SocialADR users. There is a paid version, this is a recurring fee for some massive amount of backlinks, and no account creation needed!

IMAutomator – A free and paid version. I’m not sure you should go for the pro version as for social bookmarking there are some software that will do it too. But the free version gives you 10 daily submission to 15 bookmarking sites. Also, the account creation to these sites is automated.

Tarpipe – The little brother of PixelPipe, though I think they are not directly connected they are doing about same stuff. You should have a look to them too, they’re free!

Onlywire – a free and paid version to get social bookmarks, it’s certainly the one that has been out there for the longest time.

Most of these sites make tools available to be easier to use from your desktop, and developpers can certainly play with their API to develop plugins or automation softwares.

Don’t hesitate to join all sites and see how they perform and the one you like the most. Now of course you need to create accounts at various web 2.0 sites these web tools posts and publish content to. Well, I don’t have a free solution for you, but you can outsource some cheap account creations.

I’ve found 2 services at WickedFire and the guys seem to have good reviews. I’m going to try them:

BestWorks001 thread – accounts for Ping.fm and PixelPipe supported sites.

SeoWorks09 thread – accounts for PixelPipe, Ping.fm, SocialADR, HelloTXT, Onlywire supported sites.

With the resources above you can have social bookmarking, videos, photos, audios, links, tweets, documents, blog posts… a bit everywhere online and that’s a lot of exposure, backlinks you can create once you set up accounts.

Now another source of backlinks that you certainly like is, drum roll…

Article Marketing

A free article submission software? Here is Article Submission Helper. It submits to 126 article directories, may not include all the ones you want but hey, that’s still some nice backlinking possibilities.

An article writing, rewriting, spinning and blending software? Check Article Tool Chest, it does stuff a paid tool would do and even more. You can customize many things to your likes and you will find it very useful I’m sure.

Did you like this post?

Tell me what you think, and share with everyone if you have some free stuff that can accelerate your success. I may need to update this post then, I will search for more resources. I also want to discuss with you about some very low priced services. Of course I want to test them first and see how it goes, but I can tell you I already have found some very promising

In the meantime, have a great time whatever you do.

Tom

That title is a little funny, make outsourcing one of your daily goal. If you outsource you’re not really working yourself, someone else will, and will help you achieve goals for you. But actually what I mean is that outsourcing should really be a goal that you set every day, if you don’t have that habit.

So everyday, it would be great if you start selecting tasks to give to someone. With clear instructions and the right person, you can have little plans here and there and when you start seeing how powerful it is and how much of free time you get back, you will want to outsource even more.

This is all about getting the BOSS mindset. You run an online business, right? You are the boss, the guy who manages the stuff not the guy who does every task. Be the guy at the top of your company who decide who does what, for how much money and time.

So as any goal it needs to be specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, time-oriented. That should be taken into account for your instructions to the writer, but also if the outsourcer clearly states how he works, his turnaround time it should fit your plan.

So what I suggest you is to decide on a project and on a budget.

How much of the work can you have done for the money you have?

What tasks do you want to outsource?

If you want to outsource article writing, I’ve written a little post about 3 places I’ve used to have articles for cheap. You pay per article, and can customize your order (number of words, quality). Of course you can find someone to write per the hour, or work day, for any task.

You may want to go visit some freelance jobs websites, or internet marketing forums and look for offers, so you can see what are the average costs and see if the service provider got reviews. You can also post a job yourself, asking for help.

Now there are tons of things that are super boring to do, or that you really don’t like to do. Like account creation, that sucks. Really, it sucks your time too.I don’t like to do that, of course when I first started I did this myself, then there are either softwares that can do it for you or you can outsource this.

So you may decide that you want to have account created at top article directories, social bookmarking sites, video sites, etc.

That may be your first outsourcing project. Then your second will be to have the content created, the third to have it submitted. You may find all in one solutions, outsourced or software automated.

So as an example here’s something you could get for $100

Accounts created to 80 web 2.0 sites : $20

20 articles, 300 words each : $60

Articles submitted to top article directories: $20 (or less depending on how many articles you want to submit)

That’s a little plan and I will expand on it later with some AWESOME resources you don’t know. Well actually you may know some. These will be about automating some tasks, for FREE!

Now there is another place where you can get cheap marketing and advertising for just $5, and that’s Fiverr. You certainly have heard about it, just go there, check the video, social marketing, advertising categories to see what people can do for your business for only $5.

Your website advertised to 50,000 followers on twitter, there is someone who can do that. A video testimonial for your product or website, no problem. Have 5000 facebook users to be invited to your fan page, just $5. Or you can ask post what you want done for that price, some people are asking for one, or even two articles.

Okay, have a great time whatever you do.
